Pelagic are excited to welcome Belgian avant-garde rock band THOT to our roster.
Founded by Grégoire Fray in 2008, THOT has gone through several albums, line-up changes, collaborations (incl. Magnus Lindberg of Cult of Luna, Ben Chisholm of Chelsea Wolfe, Belgian artist Marie-Jo Lafontaine, T .Raumschmiere, Catherine Graindorge) and the game-changer pandemic.
Shaped between Belgium, Bulgaria & Czech Republic, their new album DELTA is a fundamentally organic, uncompromising album featuring a powerful core of musicians who have been active in the project for several years.
Grégoire Fray of the band comments on the signing: “A community of strong and creative minds. This is how I perceive Pelagic Records. More than just another record label. There’s the remarkable aesthetic of each release. There is the brilliant idea of vinyl subscription. I listen to a lot of bands from the roaster, I know some of them personally. I love the latest releases from Bear, Sâver, Spurv, Briqueville, Jayle Jayle, … -among others. This is why having the opportunity to contribute to this unique community is something absolutely thriving for me and my bandmates. We are beyond excited and grateful to launch into this new journey altogether and release -DELTA- with you.”
