Biography:
New Miserable Experience is an alternative synth rock band that blends raw emotion with cinematic, gritty soundscapes to create music that’s both powerful and deeply relatable. Their songs act as a mirror to the human experience, exploring themes of heartache, disillusionment, and the relentless search for meaning in an often unforgiving world.
The band began as a file-trading project between David Grossman (Rosetta) and Joshua Mahesh Kost (Model Prisoner), later expanding to include Bruce McMurtrie (Rosetta) and Brett Bamberger (Revocation). In 2022, they released their debut EP, Philosophy on Pessimism. After its release, Brody Uttley (Rivers of Nihil) joined, broadening their sound and leading to their first full-length album, Absent Lovers.
New Miserable Experience isn’t just a band—it’s a journey through life’s beautiful, messy, and painful moments. Each track invites listeners to dive deep into their emotions, reflect on their experiences, and ultimately find strength in the misery.
