Biography
Created in 2022 with the release of their first single “Cavale”, Hanry, a band from France composed of 6 musicians, offers post-rock music.
They presented their first EP “Panorama” in November 2022, a clever mix of aerial flights, powerful guitars, epic themes, and pure ambient.
It was recorded by the band themselves and mixed by Clément Libes (Bruit) at La Tanière studio (Toulouse).
At the end of this year, the band is scheduled to perform at the legendary Trans Musicales festival in Rennes in front of over 3000 people. This concert was broadcast live by national television and received numerous positive press reviews.
In early 2024, Hanry recorded a video live session with the American radio station “KEXP”, marking their international debut and the start of a collaboration with the German label “Pelagic Records”, with plans to release their first album in 2025.
Hanry return with ‘What Came From Silence‘, their first full-length album that captures the band at a decisive moment in their evolution. Their performance at the legendary Trans Musicales in Rennes, broadcast nationally to an audience of thousands, marked a defining moment, and the forthcoming live session with KEXP signals Hanry’s international ascent.
Pelagic Records are proud to announce Hanry’s new album ‘What Came From Silence‘, a cinematic journey that is all at once introspective, soaring and meticulously curated. Hanry transform restraint into resonance, and ‘What Came From Silence‘ is an album that invites immersion; it begins in stillness and slowly, inexorably, unfolds into something vast and luminous.
