GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT – “Infinite Horizons” Coffee Beans

13,00 45,00

God Is An Astronaut should have provided the soundtrack for the beginning of Stanley Kubrick’s ‘2001: a space odyssee‘: in the prehistoric veldt, a tribe of hominids is gathered around an alien monolith that empowers them, and serves as a gateway into the unknown. This coffee blend consists of 3 very special beans: the earthy substance comes from Papua New Guinea, with its endless forests still inhabited by tribes who have not been in touch with the modern world. A Brazilian bean with low acidity contributes a rich and otherworldly spectrum of aromas. A divine bean from Antigua named after an ancient Maya goddess rounds off this truly extraterrestrial coffee.

You can choose between fibre drums and aroma valve bags, for packaging. The fibre drums are a permanent house for your coffee. Buy one once and keep it, then keep refilling it with coffee in aroma valve bags!

Note: Orders cannot be split into several shipments. Your order will be dispatched when the item with the latest release date is available. Final products might slightly differ from mockups!

Description

God Is An Astronaut should have provided the soundtrack for the beginning of Stanley Kubrick’s ‘2001: a space odyssee‘: in the prehistoric veldt, a tribe of hominids is gathered around an alien monolith that empowers them, and serves as a gateway into the unknown. This coffee blend consists of 3 very special roasted beans: the earthy substance comes from Papua New Guinea, with its endless forests still inhabited by tribes who have not been in touch with the modern world. A Brazilian bean with low acidity contributes a rich and otherworldly spectrum of aromas. A divine bean from Antigua named after an ancient Maya goddess rounds off this truly extraterrestrial coffee.

50% ALL IS VIOLENT, ALL IS BRIGHT | Brazil
The 3rd Pelagic release ever back in 2009, God Is An Astronaut’s arguable most seminal album is perfectly reflected in the equally bright and violent aroma of this iconic coffee bean from the Brazilian highlands.

30% ECHOES | Guatemala
Growing on the slopes of volcanoes in +2000 meters altitude, these beans bring a noble, rich and harmonic taste to our coffee blend. Only the ripest red coffee cherries are harvested by smallholders under strict quality control of the „beneficios“.

20% DARK RIFT | Papua New Guinea
The lion share of this mystical arabica coffee is grown by indigenous clans on isolated farms in the deep impervious forests of this large island, where 850 (!) different languages are still spoken today – remote farms in 1.300 – 1.800 meters altitude which are hard to reach, which makes this coffee very exquisite and expensive.

*** All Pelagic coffees are more than “fair trade“. The „fair trade“ label usually just means that the coffee pickers and smallholders are paid around 15 cents more per kg than average in the respective regions. With our speciality coffees, the actual quality of the coffee determines the prices and paybacks, which are nearly twice as high as the average world market price— and the best coffee quality can only be achieved by purely organic farming. ***
