The Ocean recently played 2 shows in Russia with our friends from EF, and while hanging out forever backstage, plans were made for a new EF release on PELAGIC RECORDS.

So here we go: Pelagic will release a 10″ vinyl record by this fine Swedish after the summer with around 30 minutes of new material by this fine Swedish post-rock-band. T
he album will be strictly limited and come with hand-numbered silk-screened cover artwork – so keep your eyes and ears open for pre-order information later this spring.

EF will support this release with a two weeks European tour and most of it is already booked and confirmed – starting September 22nd and concluding October 6th. Dates and details will be announced in a few dates – stay tuned!

All preorders of The Ocean – The Grand Inquisitor 10″ went out yesterday and today. You can expect to receive your parcel within the next 1-15 days, depending on where you live…

For all those who didn’t have luck with the first version, there WILL be  a 2nd pressing of the 10″, but it may be a little while…

Abraham have started recording their follow-up album to “An Eye on the Universe”. Drum takes are done, recorded at Wood Studio in Lausanne, for a nice warm wooden sound. Vocals, guitars and a new secret instrument (not used on the previous record) will be recorded during night time in March – when the bureaucrats below Abraham’s studio leave the office to return to their comfortable slippers… depressive ambiance guaranteed! The album will be mixed and mastered by the grand Magnus Lindberg. No need to say the band is stoked to work with the alchemist of so many great records!

The album will consist of 8 new tracks. Lyrics are loosely adapted from the short story The Chronoception by J.-G. Rawl.
